Simplified Structural Assessment for Fragility Analysis is a free online resource to teach simplified structural assessment approaches for the development of fragility curves.
Statistical Computing with R is a short (6-8 hours) course aimed at introducing the R environment to individuals with no prior programming experience. R is rapidly becoming the tool of choice for data analysis in the life sciences and understanding its basic functionality is of benefit to undergraduates, graduates and researchers across diverse fields. Upon completion of the course you will understand how to manipulate data within R, perform basic data analysis procedures and create plots. This course provides a foundation for more advanced topics and techniques.
The Structural Analysis and Modelling Portal (SAMP) offers a number of practical applications of structural analysis and design concepts that students typically learn through their undergraduate and graduate studies in Civil Engineering. The portal offers a variety of sessions where students implement structural analysis theory by hand calculations to validate the results obtained through computer simulation. The sessions mainly focus on the use of Oasys GSA (General Structural analysis) software. However, other packages such as SeismoStruct, SeismoSignal or OpenSees are also included in some of the sessions. Tutorial videos and other supporting materials are offered in each one of the sessions to enable student self-learning.
